I started my first barista job way back in 1999 as a way to keep me going through school. Little did I know that it would become a consuming passion, leading me to visit factories in Italy, judge barista competitions, work in other states and meet a whole bunch of industry people from all corners of the globe. (Yes, I know that globes technically don't have corners.)

Yes, Alex, this blog is going to be ALL about coffee. But who says that I can't have another blog? I'll explain more in my first real post ... whenever I get a chance to make it ;P

Instead of cup of excellence with coffee, when are we going to start pig of excellence. Best pork for bacon! can we talk about pigs?
Yeah! Screw coffee; pork rules! I mean, you get bacon, canadian bacon, prosciutto, jamon, pork chops, pork belly, pork steaks, pork neck, chorizo, italian sausage, salami ... pig farmers of the world unite!
Luca, your coffee notes are cool and all, but how's your nose for pork? I had this bacon this morning with a real apple flavour to it ...

Hmm ... definitely going to have to organise a PoE event. Different pork paired with different espresso. Mmmm ... kinda reminds me of that potato and bacon soup with yemen ismaili foam that we did at TMR. No, I'm not joking.
